80 years ago the bells chimed for the end of the Second World War ❤️🩹
Remembrance day marks not only a very important date for our country, but is also a time to remember the courage, sacrifice and bravery of those who gave their today, for our tomorrow.
On Sunday (9th November), we attended the memorial ceremony at Victoria Embankment, Nottingham, to show our respects.

City officials, veterans, families and the community all gathered, to stand in stillness and remember.
Hymns were sung, readings were delivered, and everyone stood in a two-minute silence at 11:00am, making a shared, quiet promise to those who gave their lives, that they would never be forgotten.
Our collective gratitude took shape in the bright, red poppies which were both laid at the base of the memorial and pinned next to our hearts.
This was a warming tribute for such an important day of remembrance.
Lest we forget.
“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. We will remember them.” – Laurence Binyon, 1914
